Patience:
Patience is one of my hardest lessons,perhaps the most frustrating one to learn.I've never been a patient person,now also not much but still slightly better than before.
One lesson of patience is that we don't always get what we want .
In the modern world people are not used to living with discomfort.Moreover to understand someone else's pain ,poverty , sadness or loss we don't have much time and patience........because patience is waiting.We want answers faster than they can be delivered.Everything is instantly available.
We no longer know how to wait,or even what waiting means.We are so used to instantly getting everything that our sense of waiting is not properly developed.It is nice to have what we want when we want it but the ability to delay gratification is important.
Many of us don't know how to live with things as they are,how to live in a situation just as it is.We think there's a difference between something not happening soon enough and its not playing out of the way we think it should.
The key to patience is knowing that everything is going to be fine,developing the faith that there is a plan.If we think it deeply ....patience is like a muscle it must be exercised and trusted.If we don't use it we wont have strong patience muscle to support us through life's bigger challenges.That's why it is so important to to develop a deep faith that healing is always at work.Despite our believe that things need our assistance ,most of the amazing things that happen in the world occur without our interference or assistance.We don't have to tell a cut to heal ,we don't have to tell a person to fall in love,we don't have to tell the cells in our bodies to divide.There is a power in the world.Trust that all things are moving towards the good even when we don't recognize or see it.
It is no accident that the noun 'patient' meaning person undergoing medical treatment and the adjective 'patient' meaning to tolerate affliction with calmness are connected.They come from latin word 'pati' which means 'to endure'.
We may think the story is about our health ,work,knowledge or our love life and want to change it......actually if we think deeply then we will understand that is is not about those things it is about us........it is about the love ,humor,compassion and patience we bring to our life and its situations.
God and the universe works on us and not on the situations..The picture is much ....much bigger.He wants us to experience love and freedom in our lives.He wants us to experience life to the fullest.The key lies in trusting...........and having patience.

You gave me time,when no one gave me time of day,
You looked deep inside,when the world looked away.

A fleeting thought

My Beloved may never change the pathway that I travel
He may not remove the storms that rise today;
But my heart now safely rests upon this promise;
That my Lord will walk beside me all the way.


He'll go with me through the valleys and the shadows,
He'll go with me through the darkness up ahead,
He may never change the earthly course I travel,
But He'll take my hand and walk with me instead.


He may never change the trials that overwhelm me,
He may not remove the tears that by me to stay,
But my soul he fills with peace that never fails,
For my God will walk beside me all the way.


He may never lift me out of earth's dilemmas,
He may not remove the troubles of my day,
But I know that though I can't evade the problems,
Still my Lord will walk beside me all the way.

Vedanta:our true nature is divine

Vedanta is one of the most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Vedanta affirms the Oneness of existence, the Divinity of the soul and the Harmony of religions. Vedanta is the philosophical foundation of Hinduism. Vedanta is Universal and is equally relevant to all countries , all cultures and all religious backgrounds.
A closer look at the word " Vedanta" is revealing , it is a combination of two words -"Veda" which means knowledge and "anta" which means the end of . In this context the goal of knowledge is not intellectual, the limited knowledge we acquire by reading books. " Knowledge" here means " the knowledge of God " as well as the "knowledge of our own divine nature". Vedanta then is the search for self knowledge as well as the search for God.
According to Vedanta- God is infinite existence, infinite consciousness, infinite love and infinite bliss.
Most importantly, God dwells within our own hearts as the divine self. This divine self is never born nor will it ever die, neither stained by our failings nor affected by the fluctuations of the body or mind. The divine self is not subject to grief , despair, disease or ignorance.
This pure , perfect , free from limitations -the divine self , Vedanta declares, is one with the impersonal ,transcendent reality. The greatest temple of God lies within the human heart.
Vedanta further asserts that the goal of human life is to realise and manifest our divinity. Not only is this possible but it is inevitable.Our real nature is divine; God realisation is our birthright. Sooner or later we will all manifest our divinity because the greatest truth of our existence is our own divine nature. Finally Vedanta affirms that all religions teach the same basic truth about God , the world and our relationship to one another.
Thousands of years ago the Rig Veda declared "truth is one". Sages call it by various names.

The world's religions offer varying approaches to God, each one true and valid, each religion offering the world a unique and irreplaceable path to God realisation. The conflicting messages we find among religions are due more to doctrines and dogmas than to reality of spiritual experience. While dis-similarities exist in the external observances of the world's religions, the internals bear remarkable similarities.

Ibn'Arabi

Ibn'Arabi said"Tradition has left us only words ;it is upto us to find out what they mean".He also said "The wise men will not allow himself to be tied to one form of belief"Such a large point of view is a priceless gift ,to be strived for and celebrated.

God is the light
of the heavens and the earth.
The smile of God's light
is like a niche in which is a lamp,
the lamp in a globe of glass,
the globe of glass as if it were a shining star,
lit from a blessed olive tree
neither of the East nor of the West,
its light nearly luminous
even if fire did not touch it,
Light upon light,
God guides to this light
whomever God will,
and God gives people examples;
and God knows all things.

Today this verse made me realize that until and unless He wants, me cannot even turn towards Him, so small so unworthy i am.

Every war and every conflict between human beings has happened
because of some disagreement between names.

It is such an unnecessary foolishness,because just beyond the arguing there's
a long table of companionship set and waiting for us to sit down."

sunlight looks slightly different on this wall,

from a light,and when we praise,we pour them back in"
